2022 A-Class vs. Audi A3 Safety: Standard Protective Measures
Safety and driver-assistive systems are a given in the 2022 A-Class and the A3. In fact, both sedans are available with brand-specific versions of these systems:
- Adaptive Highbeam Assist
- Active Lane Keeping Assist
- Rearview Camera
However, if you want to feel completely confident on any roadway, you’ll want to drive the 2022 A-Class. The following systems come standard on this model:
- ATTENTION ASSIST®®: Need to take a break? This system watches your driving input for drowsy or distracted driving to answer that question for you.
- Blind Spot Assist: Is another car in your blind spot? This system can alert you to any cars on your flank.
- Crosswind Assist: Stay on course during strong wind gusts or when a large truck flies by with this stabilizing feature.
While side assist with rear cross traffic assist is available to the A3, you won’t find comparable systems for the 2022 A-Class’s ATTENTION ASSIST® or Crosswind Assist systems.
2022 A-Class vs. Audi A3 Interior: Your Personal Oasis
No matter if you’re cruising around in the heart of summer or the dead of winter, the 2022 A-Class and the Audi A3 will keep you comfortable throughout the changing of the seasons thanks to these features:
- Panorama roof
- Multi-zone automatic climate control
- Available heated front seats
However, if you need to get a head start on your morning, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class has you covered with its standard Remote Start and SmartKey with KEYLESS-START systems. You can precondition the cabin to how you like it before you seamlessly get into it without presenting your keys!
Unfortunately, the Audi A3 goes without a comparable feature that lets you prepare your cabin before you step foot inside.
2022 A-Class vs. Audi A3 Technology: Your Digital Concierge
As you slide into the 2022 A-Class and the Audi A3, you’ll be met with comprehensive cockpits. Both have large touchscreen displays that pair with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and Bluetooth®.1 However, the 2022 A-Class’s Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) proves to be more innovative.
For starters, the 2022 A-Class’s infotainment system comes with Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding. This means you can say a phrase like, “I feel cold,” and it will adjust the climate for you. Overtime, it will learn more phrases and become more flexible and friendly in its responses.
MBUX also has “Hey, Mercedes,” keyword activation. So, whenever you need a coffee on the go or you want to switch songs, all you have to say is, “Hey, Mercedes,” before your request, and it will complete your command. Unfortunately, the Audi doesn’t have as comprehensive of a system.
